How will we cut the deficit now?

It was never going to be possible to deliver on all those promises.

That says there was a surplus last April as well. Something about April...

Why was no tax on tips, overtime, and social security not in the bill?

Donald Trump is a big spending populist democrat. There was never any intent to cut the deficit.

But o have been told for months by The View and Rachel Maddow that Trump has no clue what he’s doing because he’s Hitler

Contrary to what people think, we have term limits, for congress, its every 2 years for some and 6 years for others.
Fool me twice …

Republicans never cut the deficit. They simply don't. Never have.

No elected official in DC has the stones to make the cuts necessary so we just keep inching toward the cliff of despair.

So, someone mentioned that there was an April surplus. Someone else said that there was also a surplus last April (2024) and that there must be "something" about April......and THIS is your reply?

We can start with the 3 largest line items.
Medicare
Medicaid
Social security.
Gut them bitches.

The right thing for Congress to do would be to reduce spending and make cuts.
But if they did that they would never get reelected.
We literally have a system that punishes people for doing the right thing.

You hear repeatedly that entitlements are killing us. Then you hear:
California ripped of matching funds from medicaid for 19 billion. Thats one state, how many others.
You hear insurance companies ripping off medicaid and being investigated.
You hear hospitals and doctors ripping of .......
You hear millions of illegals with SS numbers ripping off.....
Then you hear congress 86ing (sorry couldnt resist) codifying DOGE.
The same congress will then tell us we need to share the pain, cut medicare for people who have paid it for decades.........AND THE SAME AFOREMENTIONED SHAT WILL NOT BE CUT AT ALL.

When you have an extremely well entrenched system fighting you every step of the way AND approximately 1/2 to 3/4’s of your own party’s Congressional members really aren’t interested in changing anything either….
It’s a tough hill to climb to say the very least.
