Houston restaurants/bars for weekend eating/drinking trip?

Staying at Hotel Granduca, and definitely have Segreto Lounge across the street on the list for a night cap.
Anyone have insight on Turner's Cut? Looks really nice. Original Turner's does also (and it's beautiful inside), but Turner's Cut seems to be speaking to me more food wise.
Totally open to recommendations. Lunch or dinner - any price point. Some places we've enjoyed in past visits: Nancy's Hustle, Hugo's, Georgia James, Underbelly (RIP), State of Grace, Anvil, Ostia, MAD.
Not looking to repeat spots besides Uchi. Although.. Uchi isn't set in stone if there's something that level sushi wise to take it's place. Something with unique/adventurous fish like Uchi does. Not a spot with just rolls and basic nigiri.
Finally - Is bothering with a reciprocal visit to River Oaks Country Club even worth it? We are not anything like the type of people I assume are members there and wouldn't know anyone, but they're on the reciprocal list for our (inexpensive) club so we can get an introduction/invite to visit. I feel like we'd stick out and it's not worth going. Especially giving up a solid lunch/dinner in the city for that. But I'm also a very nosy woman.

River Oaks CC is really nice. Why not use it if you can.
Also I love Houston and it has tons of great restaurants but give me El Tiempo on Richmond all day every day and twice on Sunday. I go every time in there.

I don't know Turner's Cut or Segreto Lounge but they look like very nice high end places. I do go to Houston frequently on 'foodie' trips with my son and have been to Nancy's Hustle several times, Anvil (great cocktails but so busy), Hugo's (overrated IMO).
A few weeks ago we went to Maximo in Rice Village. Very good and very small neighborhood interior Mexican fusion/haut cuisine type place. Highly recommended def need reservations. Neighborhood may not be quite River Oaks, but the Rice crowd thinks they are. Really good
Also we hit a fantastic cocktail bar right behind Anvil (upstairs) called Refuge. Espresso/coffee shop in am downstairs, speakeasy/high end cocktail bar by night.
For lunch or brunch, try Pondicheri - real close to River Oaks. Fast casual Indian with a unique Indian bakery upstairs. I've been going here on every trip because the food is so well done. Beautiful place too.
If you like Nancy's Hustle (which I do), try Tiny Champions close by. The pastry chef is some hugely recognized pastry genius who has been in a who's who of high end kitchens and decided to chill here for QOL reasons. Food is great too. Atmosphere upscale cool/chill.
In that area I like Theodore Rex which is another small hipster cutting edge type place which deserves a Michelin star just on the food alone.
That's all I can think of at the moment. Will add/edit if I can think of others.

We’ve been to both Turner’s and Turner’s Cut. Enjoyed both very much. They each have a nice ambience. If you’re a martini fan, TC has a girl that goes around with her cart making them to your exact preference table side. They also offer complimentary champagne for the ladies and scotch for the guys when you use the bathroom!
You could try Squable, Roost, BCN, Hugo’s, Caracol, or Theodore Rex. Houston has too many options.

Sign up for the InKind app before your trip. They have all of their participating restaurants listed there, including Turner’s Cut (and all of the other Berg Hospitality stores). InKind usually has a % bonus when you load money on the app and it makes it a breeze to pay at the table. You could make an excellent trip just from that list. Rosie’s Cannonball, Prime 131, Julep, March, Musaafer.

Heck, I'd just go to Truth BBQ 2X and Roegels for ribs.

Most places we've been are off of your recommendations over the years. I'll check these out.

Sushi wise - If anyone knows:
Nori Nori? This seems to have Chef Cong at the helm, which is the man who owned/made the food at Umami here in BR (my favorite restaurant). It's $150 AYCO (order) for 90 minutes and looks incredible in photos.
Sushi By Hidden? - Any thoughts here? Always showing up on social media.
I'd like to find the most creative and best sushi in Houston, and if Uchi is still that -- totally great. I just get a chance to eat at some of the other Uchi locations each year, so willing to do something else as long as it's similar level.
edit - ok it's only AYCO on Sundays, which is fine. Not coming home that day. Seems to have a lot we have here at Umami though. Any opinion on Sushi By Hidden welcomed.

I’ll give you a few more that are near and dear…La Mexicana in the Montrose…go for breakfast…this is the type of shite my grandmother fed me.
Candente…without a doubt the best Tex Mex in Houston.
Clark’s Oyster Bar.
Nobie’s in the Montrose.

turner's is perfect for date night, best steak of my life there.
Go upstairs after for drinks in one of Houston's best speakeasies called Emilia's Havana
Have not been to turner's cut
If you want sushi, Katami is F incredible...
If you want Italian, go to Lombardi's, it shares a hallway bathroom with Segreto Lounge,
La Griglia is also a very romantic italian spot with amazing food

Lombardi’s? If you’re gonna send her to a chain in uptown park, at least send her to Il Bracco.
Milton’s in Rive Village is what you want for Italian…go upstairs to their cocktail bar Lee’s afterwards.

we like Marmo's for italian. Their blue crab bruschetta is one of the best apps in town. Great fresh pasta dishes.

From the Grand Duca, mosey a block south to Merus Grill for an outstanding martini.

Thanks everyone
Booked/planned most of your suggestions.
Katami, Segreto Lounge, Turner's Cut, Milton's, Lee's, Clark's Oyster Bar, and Candente
A few poolside lunches thrown in at the hotel.

I've never been to Katami so I cannot offer an opinion, but it is run by Chef Hori of Kata Robata fame, then it must be good. The other sushi place a lot of people rave about is MF Sushi
