We are at +30,000, which is the worst in the league right now.

I don't think we will be the worst team in the league.
But the betting public thinks our QB situation is worst in the league, so they are going to put the odds accordingly

A rookie head coach and all the quarterbacks on the roster have very limited or no experience.
I think we'll probably win some games that we shouldn't. That seems to happen every year
We probably won't be favored very many times.

Our TE is the only QB on the roster who has won a game as a starter in the league.

But, because of the Carr situation and the 30M, we are in a MUCH better spot than we were in early March.
This was always going to be a bad year. It's going to look like last year after Carr was out except I don't think the defense will be as competitive.

No doubt.
I am much more optimistic about the future than I was in December

And he has to survive the post 6/01 cuts. I think he will, but there is speculation that he won't since he carries a $10M salary and a $18M cap hit. Once Carr officially retires, he will have the 2nd highest to Lattimore.

Cut his arse. Let him go to Denver. There’s more Mormons over there anyway

Raise your hand if you though the Saints were going to make a superbowl run this your.

Cynthia Frelund’s analytics has the Saints at 5.3 wins and dead last in the NFC South.
There are no real expectations of the Saints being competitive. However, I am glad to be rid of DA and the often injured cap crushing Carr.
I am curious and excited to watch.

So we will likely be picking top 3 next year in a better qb class. It’s why it was stupid reaching for a qb in the 2nd this year. Our defense was dead last most of the year and we didn’t use our first or second to help out.

I'm willing to bet the Saints will be the worst team in the league. We got a rookie, a rooster and ponk at QB, not to mention an aging defense. It's safe to say we're not winning this year. Rouse's giving away brown paper bags, one size fits all, hurry up while supplies last.

…unless you believe that QB has a real chance to become your franchise QB. If that’s the case, it was probably a good decision.
The fastest path to relevancy is that, against all odds, you hit on Shough…and it frees you up to build around him instead of having to draft a QB next year.
Personally, I don’t have any faith that they just loved Shough and truly believe he’s a franchise QB. I think they made that decision because they knew what was coming and made the decision based on this year.

True, but after seeing the recent results of Baker, Darnold, Geno Smith, I’d prefer to build up the roster first before investing in a franchise qb.
Crap franchises with crap rosters won’t help young qbs development. Those three examples prove my point.
Even Stroud went backwards this year since his surrounding cast dipped.
