Trey Morgan made the number one top play on SportsCenter this morning for the Durham Bulls

… with a Willie Mays over the shoulder type catch. The SportsCenter guys led it off with this guy is on ‘Top Plays’ so much he needs to start paying utilities!
I think that guy gets a gold glove or two before his MLB career is over. Would not have won our most recent College World Series title without his leather!

His line drive homer against Kentucky in the Supers 2023 was one of the hardest hit balls I have ever seen.

He also made a catch on a foul ball playing 1st base, he slid on his back and caught laying down. Some tech guru put that up I have no idea when it was it was on Tik or YouTube

He played quite a bit of left field in his final season at LSU and is doing so again in the minors.

He is the best defensive first baseman I’ve ever seen at the college level. Unbelievably talented defensively.

He’s in probably the best system being the rays due to they prioritize versatility. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was up in the league by September because his defense is so elite. (I haven’t looked at his batting numbers admittedly)

Greatest Defensive 1B I have ever seen. Across any level. It was a joy to watch him suit up for the Tigers for 3 seasons.

I forgot how much of the 2023 season he actually played in LF. For some reason I thought it was only the first month or so.

One of the all time great plays among tigers. While he may not have been a traditional 1st base player he was definitely one of the most athletic I've seen at LSU.
