When asked by host Piers Morgan whether he believed Pope Leo XIV would be “a very liberal pope,” Prevost firmly rejected the idea. “No I do not,” he responded. “I don’t think he’s going to roll back the changes that Francis made. I think he’s going to. Here we are. Let’s continue down this path now.”

Prevost went on to describe his brother as someone who avoids political extremes and prefers a balanced approach. “I don’t see my brother. When we were growing up, he wasn’t, like, super political.
