I stayed at that La Quinta Inn for a weekend in Nola back in the day. I was 19-20 years old and willing to stay in the cheapest place close to NOLA. Could have been me.

It was probably $80-90 for 2 nights. I still make jokes with the same buddies I stayed with about how we made it out alive at the Gretna La Quinta. Good times.

It’s odd that La Quinta in Louisiana or often not great but I’ve stayed at some pretty nice ones out west.

Lived on Fed City when I was stationed at MARFORRES, so I know this area well. Most of the Marines called it the Oakhood Mall and I'm pretty sure that La Quinta is mostly used for hookers and drug deals.

True. Gretna is mainly the outlier as I could have named any hotel/motel in Gretna. They're all unsafe.

Fun fact #2. La Quinta is Mexican for the quinta. You can still smell Pancho's from across Terry Parkway.

It's cause Terrytown is mostly Hispanic now.
