1.) find a way to get Ja if he is actually available for trade and team him up with Zion.

2.)be a part of a 3 team trade with spurs and bucks and acquire the #2 overall pick.

Spurs get: Giannis

Bucks get: #7, 2026 swap right back, best of Pelicans/Bucks 2027 pick, Harrison Barnes, Jeremy Sochan, Keldon Johnson, 2027 Hawks 1st

Pelicans get: #2, #14, future 2nds

Both are long shots and years of no optimism will remain.

There’s no universe where the Bucks trade Giannis and don’t want 2 for themselves. They have no future picks and no ability to acquire a star.

The only way to do it is in the draft. They’ll want Harper.

you’re more than likely right. It just depends how much they value Harper (he isn’t a bonafide star) compared to how much they value the control of their future picks.

They’ll have Harper but then have nothing to build with him for years to come with lack of quality pick or assets to acquire better players. And their current roster is pretty underwhelming

We own the Bucks future. We should sit back and do absolutely nothing to help them.

Wrong. They are saddled in debt and while the #2 pick would be great, getting back your future after ejecting said bad debt may be more valuable to them.

They would get Castle instead. The Pelicans have ZERO reason to facilitate a deal with MIL if the #2 pick is not coming here.

lmao I really don’t think it’s that farfetched. maybe have to give up a little more or the bucks may want different players of similar value but it’s not that crazy!

Do we really trust 2 immature players who stay in negative headlines for off the court stuff to really push each other and hold each other accountable?

There’s a bunch of teams who would happily facilitate it without getting #2.

but the point is we hold the bucks future through 2027. That’s value no other team has.

Who cares. What’s the alternative? Tired of watching bad basketball every year. I would rather watch Ja and Zion over being a lottery team going nowhere

Do those teams control the Bucks picks in the next 2 seasons that they would want for a rebuild?

No one thinks Dallas would want Giannis first?

The gm tried to get him first before Doncic. That teams window is now. AD and Kyrie are old. Giannis and AD together woukd be pretty sick.

It’s possible I just don’t know how the money works.

Rich Paul was on Mcafees show saying he doesn’t think Dallas will trade the number 1 pick.

1. Trade Zion

Giannis and Royce O'neal to Spurs

CJ and Vassell to Suns

Beal and Hawkins to Bucks, as well as #2, #7, 26 and 27 Bucks picks back from Pels, 3 firsts from Spurs, 2028 first from Suns

Castle, Grayson Allen, Barnes, #14 from Spurs, #29 from Suns to Pels

So essentially the Spurs are giving up #2, #14, Castle, Vassell and 3 future 1sts for Giannis.

Pels are moving down from 7 to 14, not really giving up a 1st but rather giving back 1sts that they could swap for, which do hold significantly value, and an aging expiring CJ (who they should be trading this offseason for any assets anyway), to get back Castle, Barnes (aging expiring CJ replacement basically) and Vassell (i'm moving Vassell for Grayson Allen and #29 b/c he's a better shooter and defender and cost less). Phoenix is saving gobs of money by getting out of the 2nd apron.

Then send Missi and Barnes to the Pacers for a S&T of Myles Turner.

Murray/Castle/Jose
Herb/Grayson/Reaves
Trey/Boston
Zion/Karlo
Turner/Olynyk

That's 12 at $182 (3/$60M for Turner), $4M for the #14 pick, $2M for the #29 pick, and that would leave us at 14 on the roster and just under the tax.

Any trade that involves MIL pick swaps that does not bring the Pelicans #2 is a dogshit trade. Sorry.

There’s a 3rd Approach :

Just trade Zion’s……

-Whore Ridden
-Lazy
-Self-Serving
-Ego Inflated
-Ignorant
-Broken Down
-Whiny arse
To the highest bidder !!!

How much longer must the organization be embarrassed and abused by this Clown ??

We have no leverage and the hope of any was lost with the awful job at the lottery yesterday.
