Do you split time with your wife and Mom on Mother’s Day?

For those that live near their Mom and have kids, do you spend time with your Mom any on Mother’s Day? Or do you spend all your time making the day nice for the mother of your kids?

Do these 2 people not like each other? You can't take your wife and mother to brunch, etc?

Let’s just say that one is not interested in sharing this day.

Divorced, my mom just passed away and my kids mom also just passed away. I honestly would get blackout drunk if I wasn’t on call today.

Smoking a brisket for both of them and my sister-in-law

Wife doing her own thing, Grandma playing games with the kids and I’m about to crack open my first beer.

Great day with both of them

Just had breakfast with my wife. We're heading out to see both of our moms throughout the day. It's definitely an exhausting day

If we’re going to be in the same town yes. If we’re staying at home then no.

The way I look at it, is that my mom has had her Mother’s Day with her children already. My kids are young and my wife deserves the same. She’s now the most important mother to me on Mother’s Day. No slight to my mom, but sometimes you don’t think the universe be like it is. But it do.

It’s not a Holiday. It’s a glorification of narcissistic consumer culture invented by Hallmark

You must have a late travel ball tournament start time.

Ask her if you can borrow your balls for the day and go see your mom.

Luckily my wife and my mom get along very well and seem to have a much better relationship than my wife and her own mom.

It makes holidays and mother's day much easier for me, but hard on my wife because her mother is the jealous type and gives her hell over it. As my wife has gotten older and had a child of her own, she gives less and less of a shite about her mom's attention whoring fits and we just see my mom only instead.

My wife doesn’t expect much today, she’s fine with going to see my mom for a while and then me grilling for her parents.
I got my wife a nice bottle of wine for her to enjoy later.

One thing we have always agreed on is never going out to eat today. It’s the worst day of the year to go to a restaurant.

Feel sorry for men whose mother’s would actually get mad or offended that their son is spending Mother’s Day with the wife and kids.

If you can swing both, obviously great. Otherwise send mom some flowers, call her and tell her you love her and enjoy your day with your family.
