We're going to somehow get the last pick now.

That's definitely a statement from the organization.

Nothing about Zion represents good luck from injury history to his choice of women.

Zion showed the org how valuable he can be when committed. When he came back from injury he was a beast. Most of the starters got shut down for the season, including Z, otherwise I think he would've played a lot more. His last injury was very minor and just an excuse to preserve the tank. There's reason to be cautiously optimistic.

Obviously, he and Dumars had a productive conversation and Dumars thinks that he can hold Zion accountable. We'll see, obviously, but this was clearly one of the key reasons that Gayle hired Dumars.

The proof is in the pudding, of course, but the optimal outcome of the Dumars hire was always getting Zion to actually realize his potential.

Indeed. It shows we reward talent over work ethic and professionalism. Wrong message to rest of organization.

I don't think it's a reward to go to a ceremony that celebrates the worst teams of the NBA.

It's why you hardly see players as representatives at the lottery.

Lol that’s a lie. 8/14 lottery teams last year were repped by players.

Most years there’s 3+ players repping their respective teams. Hell Steph repped the Warriors one year, so it’s not some big negative you’re trying to make it seem because Zion is repping us. Philly just announced Jared McCain is repping them this year.
