D-Day Museum or Titanic Immersive Experience for 8 & 6 y.o.

Need about 3 hours to kill tomorrow morning in the city with my 2 sons ages 8 and 6. Been to the aquarium and zoo multiple times recently. Seeing if anyone has been to the Titanic Immersive Experience at the Scottish Rite Temple on Carondelet, and if it's something that they would enjoy? Not sure if they would appreciate the D-Day museum just yet.

I don’t know about the titanic, but the D-Day museum would probably not interest kids that age.

D-Day has a lot of cool planes and military equipment they would likely enjoy.

The d day museum is good. I’d take your kids unless you’re raising godless liberals
They took most of the woke stuff out but there was a little woke exhibit off in a hallway so it was easy to skip

Can't tell you what to go see but I highly recommend getting the jazzy pass(covers all public transportation) and riding the street car from audubon park area to whichever you choose. My kids LOVED just staring out the window feeling the breeze in their face. $3 is hard to beat for that and you can park for free all around Tulane/Loyola/Audubon Park
PS you can also take the ferry to Algiers and back with that pass. Another fun and cheap thing the kids enjoy.

Is this what we've become? People actually suggesting a military museum will give 6-8 yr old boys nightmares? I would have loved that place as a boy. They wont get the context yet but the equipment and uniforms will be cool and you can use the opportunity to introduce/reinforce important concepts/values. 3 hrs is plenty w young ones you dont have to see it all.
Titanic on other hand, seems like a bore even as history minded adult. I still dont get the mass fascination other than the movie hype. Doubt kids will be enthused about artifacts from an old cruise ship.

I don’t think 6 and 8 year olds have the cognitive or emotional ability to be able to understand and appreciate either of those things… and I know for a fact the WW2 museum should be approached with a somber spirit. Not saying your kids would misbehave, but I’d be weary.
