As pledges we had a hot dog eating contest during hell week. The hot dogs were doctored up, as you might imagine. That's not the gross part. Before it started, one of the actives, to show us how it's done, ate one, puked it up then ate it again. We found out later he had some kind of digestive disorder and throwing up was a way of life for him.

Any of those Fear Factor eating competitions come to my mind.

My father used to salt and pepper fresh ground meat from the store and eat it with a fork. He did the same thing with a raw beef roast. Mom would chew him out!
