Just finished last night - it’s a series remake of an Alan Alda movie from the 70s with Tina Fey, Will Forte and Steve Correll

8 episodes around 30-45 minutes each so we got through it quick.

Really enjoyed it

I’m gonna start it soon. I’ll watch just about anything with Steve Carell

Will Forte. Unless the former running back is acting now.

I finished it last night too and enjoyed it. Each episode had several laugh out loud moments for me. Forte and Fey steal the show and of course it's been 'updated' with a gay couple, which approached caricature at times, but didn't go too far over the top.

The italian gay guy is over the top & hilarious. The woke artist daughter is annoying but rest of cast nails it. The ending is predictable but was a fun binge watch.

We binged it this past weekend. Oddly enough the gay couple was my favorite part. Colman Domingo crushed it. Definitely didn’t see that dark turn it had at the end coming either

It was a good watch. I kind of want to go back and watch the original now.

I just finished a re-watch of West Wing, so seeing Alan Alda from 20 years ago and then seeing him now with Parkinson's was a real shock. Good for him for making a cameo at 89 years old.

I think they actually did a good job with them. Each of the couples has some steriotypical traits of certain types of couples that they routinely highlight and poke some fun at, and this couple was no different.

Yea, the Italian guy was very over the top some, but it worked and they treated them fairly as all the others.

True, but her play was pretty damn funny.

The gay couple is a caricature and disgusting. One's worried about the other's heart disease but they're banging random dudes whenever they can. Jack is a completely worthless candy arse.

I actually found the daughter to be a good character.

They all went completely over the top at times, but that was kind of the point

Apparently, you missed the point of the entire series.

I watched the first episode and thought it was pretentious slop. Does it get any better? And Will Forte’s character seemed gayer than the gay couple.

Disagree. I thought they were portrayed fine.

How do these two things contradict each other?

What? Is it healthy to sleep with strangers on a whim?

They used protection... I don't think its a stretch that they'd still do that stuff while also still be concerned about his heart issue.

As a fan of the Alda original, I couldn't get past the first two episodes of this crap. Of corse there had to be a gay couple, it's 2025. I'm not a fan of either Fey or Forte but they were the best of this ensemble.
