My wife and I along with our kids (18, 14, 12, & 4) are going to Nashville for the weekend. I work in Nashville often, so I obviously only know of things for adults to do.
Any suggestions for places to go in and around Broadway area. They’d love to see live music if there are places that allow non 21 year olds to go in. We have no plans on Friday afternoon/evening and same for Saturday. Thanks!

All places on Broadway allow kids until 6pm. There will likely be some language here and there but overall kid friendly.

Baseball game? The minor leagues team or Vanderbilt?

Soccer game? They have the MLS team.

Never been but know they have a zoo

Lots of music museums downtown

You can kayak or canoe on the Harpeth River. Did that once for a bachelor party and it was a lot of fun and not too far (20 minutes or so) outside of town

Yes, we plan to go by there at some point. I usually stay right across the street from it at the Vandy Marriott.
Staying right off of broadway this time due to my older 3 kids wanting to be closer to the “scene”.

I recall seeing some kids (family of band members) in a bar on Printers Alley one night. I asked Google, and AI said: "Many bars in Printers Alley are family-friendly until a certain time in the evening, often around 9 pm." This varies, so you have to check with individual bars.

If you go out to the Grand Ole Opry (which kids may enjoy; each act plays only about 3 songs so it keeps moving), arrive early and hit the enormous Opry Mills Mall next door. It has a children's area and a giant Dave & Buster's, which I recently saw on a documentary about Air McNair; that's where his girlfriend/killer worked.

Opryland mall (massive) and take them to the Goo Goo Cluster store and let them make their own creation if they like chocolate.

Country music hall of fame is great
Soccer game, sounds game, zoo

Broadway during the day but be careful it’s gotten weird out there.

Goo goo cluster is cool so is the Frist. Take a walk on the Vandy campus and centennial park. Go walk around Germantown, oysters at Henrietta Red and good wine.

Just don’t wait in line for hours at Hattie B’s or biscuit love.

Second the Parthenon and Country Music Hall of Fame (add in the Studio B tour).

If any of the kids like history it is a short drive to the Civil War battlefields at Murfreesboro (Stones River) and Franklin. Also Andrew Jackson's house, The Hermitage, is nearby.

Never been to either but there is the Adventure Science Center and Music City Childrens Museum that are geared for the younger crowd.

ACME is very kid friendly during the day and there’s almost always good live music. Johnny Cash museum is worth a visit too

Maybe not every single one. I'd call if there is a particular one you want to go to. But definitely many allow under 21 till 6, 7, whatever time they choose.

The Listening Room is a nice music venue that allows you to buy tickets and some are only $10 each. They allow all ages.

The older kids might like some 12 South or Gulch shopping. Both areas have IG photo spots and several brands that might be well known to them. (Love Shack Fancy, Stoney Clover)

Agreed! There are plenty other good places. I don't think Hattie B's is that great anyway. I like Prince's better.
