I can't stand watching that whole group of car guys. Hoovie, Ed Bolian and Tavarish. They all seem so fake and feminine.
The best rebuild car guy on YT right now is Mat Armstrong

I like the Car Wizard's videos.

We used to rebuild totals.
77-81 Camaros and Firebirds.
Front subframe unbolted. As long as no cowl damage, you could make em track like brand new.

Hoovie seems like a good guy. His divorce probably wrecked him. Wife just seemed to want out and took the kids. He did recover very nicely with is new GF though. Matt Armstrong is the best though

Yes he is!
His video with Mick Schumacher was one of the best car videos I have ever watched. Matt is the best one out there. I have been watching him since the Green Merci. His videos are a must watch for me.

I do like some of Ed’s vinwiki story episodes. The knowledge he has is impressive.
It’s like the guy from Graveyard Cars but not as douchy. His mopar knowledge is super impressive.
I do like John temerians videos, always lots of different random obscure cars.

I watch some of his stuff. He does seem rather feminine. I don't see how the veyron is going to continue to draw enough views to cover 14k a month for 4 years.
Tavarish goes way back to the early 2000s. He did some legit wild stuff with maximas. He was taking the more powerful engines out of the 2000's cvt cars and swapping them into 90s model manual cars. I was modifying a 99 maxima at the time and his knowledge back then was priceless. Not too interested in his new stuff.
Ed has awesome stories.

If Tavarish would wear pants and shirts that actually fit I would watch him more.

My current favorite but I geek out on Lamborghinis fairly easy.

They seem to go into debt (except Tavarish, billiionaire dad) and openly admit it.
Ed does have a finance sponsor, so that's understandable.
Hoovie always complains about being broke although he wouldn't have been had he no marries that mail order bride that divorced him.

Hoover comes from a well to do family that owns fast food joints but I could definitely see him being overextended with the house/garage he just built and the car projects.
I don’t get getting the Bugatti. Doesn’t seem like it could help his channel enough.

He always does but somehow always manages to get better cars. I assume the YouTube revenue more than offsets the alleged beatings he takes on these cars.
I also slightly assume that the “tax problem” he has is just made up for the channel, and there’s no way he doesn’t have some sort of financial advisor who’d keep him from going into a $100k+ tax situation.
