I know right?
I was in the target demo, 11 years old, and saw the multiple scenes with those dudes and thought it was extremely cringe and I wasn't even a full grown hater yet. That scene might have worked on 11 year olds 6 or 7 years earlier perhaps? That style of rap was only popular for like a year or two before rappers took it to different levels by the time 1989 rolled around.

As someone was very much not alive during that era, the 80s always seemed like a weird decade from music to fashion at least they had some solid movies but yeah I'm pretty sure everyone was on cocaine back then.
