Today I learned that Ewan McGregor‘s first trip to the movies was to see Star Wars: A New Hope because his uncle Denis Lawson was in it playing Wedge Antilles

always been a favorite SW trivia question:

name the actors who appear in all three of the original trilogy episodes

Mark Hamill
Carrie Fisher
Harrison Ford
Sir Alec Guinness
David Prowse

everyone always used to forget Denis Lawson

Never appeared once. In fact he wasn’t even credited in the original releases of the first two. He didn’t think it was necessary since he spent less than 3 hours doing the voice work for A New Hope.

Casablanca almost didn't get made. Warners took a flyer on it because it was cheap to make and they needed to get a movie out.

Coincidentally, this is why movies today kinda suck. If it isn't a known IP or something with a big budget it just wont get made by the big studios. Imagine how many Casablanca type movies are just languishing in dev hell because it doesn't fit with the times?

Everything about that fact was fun until I remembered Ewen called SW fans 'racist' because a group of people didn't care for the poorly written character Reva and that got turned immediately into a thing which it never was.

BTW, how'd that Reva light saber Crowdfund campaign work out?

You ruin every thread you open. I bet people can smell your stench from a mile away IRL.

I didn't call SW fans racist.

And I'm in fact quite clean and good smelling.

This because I don't appreciate falsely being accused of racism?

OK.

I wish the Obi Wan series was better

at least Mcgregor was great in A Gentleman in Moscow series last year.

he was a strong nominee for best performance by a male actor in a limited series

Your stupid arse couldn’t let the thread go half a page before you went off topic and derailed it as usual.

You're just repeating the same thing but not answering the question.

Or are you too dumb to recognize that?

Did you just out yourself as being one of the people that sent racist hate mail? Because it seems he said "some" of the fan base and didnt accuse the entire star wars fanbase of being racist.

This could have been a fun thread of movie trivia. You made it about your culture war. Whether you’re right or wrong is irrelevant. It’s a fricking buzzkill.
