Nice to see Willie in Saints draft room yesterday.

I get y’all hate him. He is a good guy . Dumars and Willie will make things right. You need to trust the process. I’m hoping Tim Floyd is brought back in some extent too.

Willie does seem to be a good guy and that’s a good trait to have, but that doesn’t guarantee success.
However, I’m not convinced that Willie is a total disaster, in spite of his record.
This team has had to deal with incredibly bad misfortune: injuries, flakey behavior, etc., on the part of its stars…

Willie and Griff will take the brunt of the blame for the last few years, but I also can't imagine it's easy to either:
1. Build a roster around Zion and/or Ingram, who you never know when they will be available.
2. Implement a gameplan when your #1 scoring threat (assuming he's playing) needs to stick to a trainer-mandated rest schedule during games to help limit his risk of injury.
It's easy to look at our players and say "how the hell was THIS the best we could do!?".... but I can't remember very many long stretches where the team that Griff assembled actually played together.
