Kent State will not remove "art" with Trump's head on a pike

Technically, they are both right and wrong. Art is art and in this country, the freedom to express your 'art' is a right, but on the other hand, inciting to violence is not protected speech.

It needs to come down, and a certain sitting VP from Ohio needs to pay a call to the university regents.

Yet DKE posting Kent State shooting messages before their game against LSU is somehow in bad taste.

Can you imagine if someone had put George Floyd’s head on a spike?

Maybe it’s time to send in the National Guard.

The quandary arises if it is considered a threat to the president, a rallying points for threats against the president or statements made by the artist on the subject. I’d really like to see a case brought forward that focuses on something like this against a president

Free speech is only free if it applies to all. Should be easy enough for some enterprising student to test Eric's devotion to free speech.

That picture is a clear threat.

It’s not even subjective.

I hope that art student enjoys their 8 hour interview with the Secret Service.

That “art” is not constitutionally protected. Eric may need a refresher in the First Amendment.

Now do one with George Floyd and see how fast it gets taken down.

That's a threat to the President and the University and those responsible for defending that should be treated accordingly.
