I had a Sleep Number pillow that I think was about $100 several years ago. I think it got thrown out when my youngest came home with lice :yak: But that pillow was the most comfortable pillow I've ever used. I like a hard pillow and am a side sleeper.
Most recently, I ordered these King Size Memory Foam Cooling Pillows that I like a whole lot. It will be 2 years in June, and I think it's time to refresh the memory foam- it's starting to flatten out a little. I will probably get more of these when the time comes.

I bought a few pillows from a company called Bear Mattress. Don't think I'll buy a pillow from anywhere else.
I belive they have smaller to larger pillows ranging from $75-$200. Highly recommend. Stays forever cool and great support.

Everybody’s got a story and I suppose I do as well. I seriously went through a slew of different pillows to counter the neck and shoulder pain I felt for a really long time. My linen closet is full of them. I think we’re all built a little different, and so maybe it doesn’t work for you, but it worked for me. I ended up finally paying around 150, but I think it’s now around 200, for a Purple pillow. No more sleep problems. It works exceptionally for when I’m on my side or my back, which I’m both. I never understood people who wanted me to pick between either since I am both. I’d end up waking up with shoulder pain on my side or my head jacked up with neck pain. This pillow is the only one that’s addressed both issues I was encountering.
I realize that’s a lot of money for a dang pillow, but I was done.

Brooklyn Bedding's talalay latex pillows used to be regularly available for like 60-70 bucks on sale a couple of years ago. I just looked and they're on sale for 130 now. Not sure if that's a good price or not in this environment.
SleepOnLatex is cheaper and probably has a good promo code, but I've never used them (they're reputable though)

I've had good luck with nice pillows at JC Penny- Feather or micro Feather. King size pillows around $100. Usually there will be a sale 30% to 50% or bogo free.

My friend, I once had the same dilemma as you. I was in need of a very good pillow, and I tried them all. I tried memory foam, down, feather, latex, cotton, wool, buckwheat, kapok, and microbeads. I tried all of the shapes. There was standard, contour, wedge, cervical, and roll. I tried all of the brands - Sealy, Tempur-Pedic, Purple, Coop, etc. At the end of the day I came to only one conclusion. When it comes to smothering people, the all-new My Pillow 2.0 is the way to go.

Ha! You call that manly? I hauled in some hay bales and covered them with rough burlap sacks, like a real man.

I slept with a dufflebag as a pillow overnight on a beach in Spain.
That was years ago when I was in the Air Force.
Now I have a Sleep Number bed and a very wide assortment of pillows.
I wake up so sore I can barely move.
