Looks like American people need to get used to higher customer product price price

Trump presses China to make tariff offer to calm trade war
The news from China is:
1). If US thinks higher tariff is good for US, just keep it.
2). If US thinks higher tariff is bad for US, just remove it.
3). China will act on its own. US's decision will not affect Chinese decision.
There are no negotiations. China will keep the high tariff unless US remove the tariff US put on since 2018.
At this point, Trump can not reach any Chinese officials.

China's BS economy is 100% built on exporting for American consumption. Anybody who says tariffs don't hurt them is an idiot or disingenuous.

About 15% in 2024, that's how much of their exports came here. Nobody is saying it doesn't hurt but to act like we have this incredible leverage over them (or vice versa) is also disengenuous.
I'd also argue their tolerance for economic pain is WAY higher than ours which is a collasal disadvantage.
-China: effectively a dictatorship, the state controls their media, they use slave labor, have no problem with zero regulation whatsoever. Hell they won't even feed all their people!
-US: will absolutley riot when we have $3k iphones and $26 avocado toast.
Even in the rosiest of circumstances (which sure as shite isn't what's happening right now) I question our resolve for this kind of thing. No matter which party is in control.
