First world problem of the day...

What's with all these women school bus drivers flying around Baton Rouge like Bats out of hell? I see em all the time on my way to work. Even rolling stop signs to make right turns.
There's been several school bus accidents around here lately. No doubt that craziness helps contribubte to em.
Just now, I had one not wanting to yield to me at a roundabout; she had to slam on her brakes. She road raged and tailgated my a$$ so bad I had to speed thru a 20 mph School Zone with her!
And yes, it's true. No way in heck I could make that one up!

School bus drivers are usually pretty shitty and entitled.

Some of them do it because they can get on the Parish/District Health Insurance Plan.
Who the hell can work 6:30 am - 8:00 am
then sit around all day
Then go back to work 2:30 pm - 4 pm
I had a cousin that did it for the above reason and half assed her way around every day.

Kinda funny this topic came up this morning. As i sat at a light on college this morning i noticed that there were 5 busses almost in line at the same light heading north. Just behind them was one going about 60 on college trying to beat the light and was definitely being driven by a woman.

My school bus driver lived next to my great-grandparents and she raced late model stock cars at the dirt track on the weekends. She always had cool cars/engines in her driveway and she drove that school bus like a race car.

Baton Rouge traffic lights are so poorly managed (short cycles, no synchronization) that I now sorta relate when people drive like this.

My son's bus backed into a little 12ft trailer a few weeks ago. It's in a cul-de-sac and he barely touched it. The school called and told us what was going on and let us know they would be late. It was two streets over in my neighborhood so I tried to just walk over and get him. They wouldn't let him leave with me. He got home almost 4 hours late because they took the bus driver to get drug tested and brought him back before the substitute driver got there.
All of the people I know that are school bus drivers just do it because they get the same benefits package as teachers. In our district anyway.

No lie, someone put a Flowmaster exhaust on the bus that runs through my neighborhood at 6AM. It's my backup alarm.

Heh. Yeah, nothing odd about it. I flat out can't type. Even after 40 years on a keyboard, I'm a horrible proofreader of my own stuff.
The funniest thing is that I spot other people's typos all the time. It's like a five-alarm fire pointing them right out to me!!
