For those interested. Been 20 years since I've seen the best prequel movie on the big screen. I was 10! Gonna be pretty cool to go see it again with my brother.

I really liked ROTS when it came out but the memes over the last 20 years have probably made it my favorite in the whole series

Objectively Empire Strikes Back is still the better film.

It did for its 40th anniversary.

What is the point of the re-release other than 20 years? In the past they added some new scenes particularly A New Hope.

Has this ever been an actual point of contention?

Episode 3 is the best in the series. Come at me I don’t give a shite

Episode three is the only good prequel, weirdest thing the sequels did was convince fans that Phantom Menace and Clone Wars didn't suck

Brought down by Manakin Skywalker's terrible acting. The final fight, while good, was too good. It was overdone. That steak needed to be medium rare. They charred it.
Making Anakin's fall about the poon was disappointing. I'd rather it had just been about power, even if it was power to do "good", power nonetheless. Pussy is undefeated though, I guess, even in a galaxy far, far away.

Episodes 1-3 were a black eye to this glorious franchise

They did a 40 year anniversary release in late summer of 2020 and it was fantastic. I may've been the only one in the theater, though.

There is a market for anniversary rereleases and we will see more going forward, especially ones in IMAX. I’ve been to E.T., Rogue One, Whiplash, and Interstellar in the past few years. The Studio Ghibli movies have had a successful run in theaters recently.

Just checked showtimes in my area and this is selling really well. The Star Wars brand is still strong. Make good star wars movies and profit. It's not complicated

I saw it three times in theaters during the original theatrical run. ROTS is absurdly rewatchable. I consider it the “good kind of bad” movie in the Star Wars canon. It absolutely has no reason being as entertaining as it is.
