Someone needs to be fired for this abomination.

Oh, this is at Disneyland?
That explains why he drew a crowd. People there like their men to look like Rachel Dratch.
Carry on!

im always fascinated with the attention to detail at Disney. We were at DW last summer and i had some questions and was talking to an employee in the Star Wars area gift shop. He was dressed as an imperial officer and stayed in character for 10 minutes while i was trying to ask where Chewy meet and greet was.
My wife was LOL but i was getting frustrating. Dude was so sharp and witty and never broke. He was like "i dont know about this Chewy. What species is he?" Long story short i never got my answers.

Sounds like standard renaissance fair level cosplay.
As for Luke Skywalker, Disney are sticking with “the force is female“ theme.

I lol'd, but let's not pretend Mark Hamill was some sort of Siegfried-esque superman. He was a 5'7 twink with a better chin, but a 5'7 twink nonetheless

A guy playing a character for some kids at a theme park? The only people that would have a real issue with this is some middle aged man child.

Yeah, someone needs to be fired over that. Its super serious. They are trying to tear down everything star wars stands for with this atrocity.
George Lucas is rolling over in his money pool.
This is just another attempt to create drama where none exists by RollTide

are you this miserable in real life, or is it a forums thing? the shite you get worked up over is just stupid.

Right. I’m more worried about losing my 401(k) and day-to-day shite versus nitpicking what goes on a theme park

We used to do the DisneyWorld thing. One year were there for Valentines Day and all of the Princesses had all of the princes that weren't normally seen since the were calling it "True Love Week". They were incredible and they all were like they stepped out of the movie.
Even the lesser known princes were great. Naveen was a mirror image, and Flynn Ryder was perfect and had the attitude down and did a perfect "smolder". They even had Burt with Mary Poppins and he could have been Dick Van Dyke's son. He even danced like him.
The point being Disney can do amazing things and put on a hell of a show if they want. They have just gotten use to putting out shite. That Luke is pitiful.

I take issue with shite like this, not the Luke casting though.

I agree. They are trying to get someone who resembles Luke. This is the problem anyone faces when hiring to portray a real life person

That's because it's a lot easier to apply enough makeup and teach exaggerated mannerisms to make someone appear like a cartoon character.
A lot harder to replicate a live human being with another live human being.
