Another mass shooting. I expect marches and prayer vigils.

Iberville is the most dangerous street in the Quarter.

The local news said a cop had his lights on and saw the shooting happen - suspect was arrested. How stupid and brazen.

Had a great weekend in the quarter at FQF - can’t believe this shite still happens.

Yeah, I took the advice to avoid Iberville and Decatur about 30 years ago

Time for the State legislature to make shooting at a festival an automatic 10 years on top of whatever crime is being committed.

Palumbo described the shooter as brazen, saying he opened fire in front of officers, hitting at least four adults.

None of the victims suffered life threatening injuries, Palumbo said. It's possible a fifth person was injured, he said.

What makes this part of Iberville so dangerous? This is right behind the Marriot so it seems like it would be a touristy spot.

It's not, normally. It's a coincidence. People that make poor decisions are everywhere.

Does it not concern anyone else that the NOPD can't count?

Pretty close to Canal, and Canal is pretty much a no-go after dark.

I haven’t lived in New Orleans for many years but Iberville has been seedy for as long as I can remember. Lots of drugs, prostitution and crime back when I lived there, at least in the area between Bourbon and N Peters
