Gods and Generals had a tremendous film score that never got the recognition it deserved due to being attached to a shite movie.

The Tom Cruise sci-fi movie Oblivion has an excellent score by the band M83. (I’m a big fan of M83 so my opinion is biased)

John Barry's 007 scores don't receive the proper credit they deserve. Frankly, David Arnold's don't either. Casino Royale's score was the tits.

James Horner's Deep Impact score was also great. I'd say this one is relevant to your thread since the film was overshadowed by Armageddon.

It's not exactly hidden, but the score to the new All Quiet on the Western Front manipulates you into anxiety, and you almost don't notice.

Transformers is excellent. If you like scores and have not listened to it, add to your list. John Williams-esque with motifs/themes.

I think Zimmer's best score may actually be Black Rain.
