Is this tarriif battle sorta like when two guys fight, they first make rules not to hit each other in the face?

That's an awful long list.

Who the frick cares if who blinked first or not. Trump is playing these mother frickers like a fiddle. It’s all part of his negotiating skills. Democrats are too fricking stupid to see this.

That's why I left that part out of my post. I do find that list bigger than expected. I would think China removed some of our agriculture products we export off the Tariff list

It's huge. It is reportedly 40% of the goods that America imports from China.

You would think that there would be an announcement that China reduced tariffs on something...

If Trump's gonna buckle, don't half arse it. Go ahead, get your knees dirty and be done with it, shite.

Why frick around with the stock market over a fake, manufactured tarriff war?

The President said on TV last week that China wants to make a deal, but they don’t know how. Why is this surprising? It’s called deal making.

Well for sure Biden would never blink first - his eyes were always closed.
= at least the perception part of what he was seeing never reached a sentient synapse.

So tech bros get their products excluded while small mom and pop businesses still get hit for the non tech goods? Not a good look for Trump.

Bumping tariffs to high levels based on some interns frickup, then rescinding most two days later isnt deal making.

Its caving to reality. Reality of modern economics dictates that this will all be a failure unless Trump backs off.

Which he did, and will with the Chinese.

I dont blame him for "deal making" but his tariff rollout wasnt "deal making."

A non trolling question - how in the world is this being enforced and what do we think the collection rate will be? Are customs officials a particularly high functioning breed of bureaucrat?

Or will incompetence, confusion, bribery, mislabeling and smuggling rule the day?

I would be pretty surprised if even 50% of the tariffs owed in theory are actually collected.
