What Is The Most Bizarre Death You’ve Ever Heard Of?

Spin off of the thread from last night about close calls and near death experiences. My question today is, what is the most bizarre death of a human being that you have ever heard of? Basically, the way a person died that boggles the mind how it happened?

"used to" know a guy who's offshore helicopter took a bad landing, he hopped off and had his head lopped off. He was an odd bird and died an odd death.

The dude in Japan that got radiation poisoning and lingered in a hospital for 83 days. The details of all he went through was pure horror.
Mr. Ballen has some crazy shite, dude climbs into a dinosaur statue and gets stuck, a meth head climbs into a pipe and cooks to death.

Had a client get poisined/murdered by his business partner for $$$$$$$$$.
Another died of sleep apnea, which I think is pretty rare to actually be your cause of death.
Cousins husband had a seizure and drown in like an inch of water or something crazy hunting. That was sad.

That high school kid a few years back who climbed head first into a rolled up gym mat and got stuck.

I had a classmate in 3/4th grade whose dad got blown off the deck of an aircraft carrier (never found). My mom was the Officer of the Day and told me before school that she was going to this kid's house and why. I vividly remember when he got pulled out of class, and I was the only person in the room that knew why.
People die in the Navy all the time, particularly in helicopters, but that's the one that stuck.

Friend I went to HS with was at a Dept of Natural Resources conference. He got drunk and took a shortcut on the way home to his hotel over a frozen river. He fell through and they found his body when the ice melted about a month later.
ETA: This was the weirdest death of someone I knew personally

Good friend of mine was at a hotel with his wife and "jumped" off the 10th floor balcony. I still don't believe he jumped.

Girl who went to my HS apparently fell off a boat and got decapitated by the propellor.
Claims were made that she was doing the Titanic “King of the world!” bit when she fell.
Oh, and there is also the guy who parked at a nearby office building, walked to my neighbor’s house, and got in her attic.
He was reported as a missing person until she found his body up there. IIRC they think he was trying to ambush her and hid up there then passed out.

Wouldn't exactly call it home made in a garage but it was designed and built by a hubris filled engineer. I have followed the story from the beginning and from a mechanical engineer stand point it was a real clown show. If I had to boil it down to a root cause I would say the project was doomed due to extraordinary poor engineering judgement backed up by a cash strapped owner / engineer who willingly ignored warning signs but pushed forward to prevent a large economic hit to himself.

Read about a WWII soldier who survived the bataan death march. Sent to prisoner camp and was tortured and almost worked to death. Transferred to different camp which was worse. Survived till the end of the war at prisoner camp in Japan.
The Americans couldn't get to all the camps at first so they air-dropped supplies in. A box broke during one of the drops and a can fell out and hit him on the head and killed him.

Many years ago, a St. Tammany Parish Sheriff deputy was killed when a tree fell on his car during a funeral procession in Covington. A bad thunderstorm rolled through the area and the high winds pushed over a dead tree on top of his car.

Worked with a contractor that had a guy squished like a bug when the prefab panels he was working near came unsecured and fell on him. Nasty.

High school boyfriend of an older cousin was splitting firewood in his backyard using a wedge. If you have ever split wood using a wedge you know the top rolls over as you use it. He came down on it and a piece split off of the top piece that had rolled over and hit him in the heart. He managed to walk about half way back to his house and dropped dead.
Real "its your time" kind of shite but weird none the less.

Most of the deaths I've worked on were your typical suicides, wrecks, shootings, and heart attacks. I've also worked plenty of anaphylaxis deaths over the years but one that stood out. Man in his 30s, been stung by plenty of wasps over the years, no issues. Gets stung by a wasp on the back. His wife witnesses it and within a minute was not breathing. The house was less than 2 minutes from our station and we were there quickly administering CPR and pushing epi. Never got him back. Crazy how quickly it did him in like that and even getting epi in him quickly, (usually works if quick enough) did absolutely nothing. He was in asystole (no heart rhythm at all) the entire time. I've only had to cric someone twice in my life and had to with him. His airway was completely shut off.
