President Donald Trump suggested at a Cabinet meeting Thursday that undocumented people working on farms and in hotels would be allowed to leave the country and return as legal workers if their employers vouched for them.

Trump said at the meeting with reporters present that “we have to take care of our farmers, the hotels and, you know, the various places where they tend to, where they tend to need people.”

"So a farmer will come in with a letter concerning certain people, saying they’re great, they’re working hard. We’re going to slow it down a little bit for them, and then we’re going to ultimately bring them back. They’ll go out. They’re going to come back as legal workers."

Curious where the PT stands on this. I don't think bringing back good, hardworking immigrants is a bad idea especially in industries that need them. It does seem unfair that they'll get to "skip the line" so to speak, though

Government shouldn't be picking winners and losers. They need to go back to the shitholes they came from.

I have no problem with legal immigrants.

Democrats fricked it for everyone when they left the back door open in order to create a permanent voter base dependent on govt cheese.

They need to make it easier for Americans to afford children. Something to encourage natives to reproduce.

I think this is a great idea... meets the needs of all involved. Win/win.

No.

Do not support this at all.

Get them out and keep them out.

I will make a deal: Bring them back if you want, but fine the employers for every single illegal immigrant they want to bring back. They helped facilitate this mess by dodging labor laws and seeking out illegal labor. Fair is fair, and the damn law should mean something for all involved.

Also a great way to get a list of companies who had been employing illegals

Great idea, it’s really all we wanted but they can’t be allowed to all pile up in the emergency rooms clogging up the hospitals for rug rat nose sniffles.

We must have some different healthcare provided for them.

Are you talking a one time fine per head? That sounds reasonable... maybe.
