Reaves is used to proving himself -- and breaking down stereotypes.

"You know, as a white guy in the NBA, I sometimes look at white players and I'm like, 'They're not very good,'" Reaves told ESPN. "So, it's a stigma that I think is real."

Redick, who played 15 years in the league, understands. "I think every guy in our shoes has experienced some level of this where you're going to be tested," Redick told ESPN. "And truthfully, no matter how many times you pass that test, you're going to be tested again."

I mean here are the top white non-european NBA players:

Tyler Herro
Austin Reaves
Chet Holmgren
Alex Carusso
Payton Pritchard
Donte DiVincenzo

I am sure there are arguments for others but man, the best of the bunch is a fringe all-star

Why, why, why would you ever say this? I guess he’s hung around LeBron to much and has a shite attitude. Also to add, he an OK player no world beater anything, so not sure where he’s going with this race shite,

The starting 5 for the all white team in the NBA would still be pretty damn stout….of course we gotta have help from the Euros, but it would look something like this:

G Luka
G Herro
G Reaves
F/C Sabonis
F/C Joker

Team milk wouldn’t be able to guard anybody, but who does that anymore anyway????

I took it as him saying the "white guys can't play" stereotype is so prevalent that it affects his view of white players, too.

Umm, you are missing a lot...would start Lauri Markkanen and Franz Wagner, and bring Reaves and Sabonis off the bench with some combo of Kristaps Porzingis, Josh Giddey, Alperen Sengun, Chet Holmgren, even old Bogdan Bogdanovic. Thats a squad.

Hell just replace Herro with Caruso and that’s a team that would beat anyone. You don’t need 5 awesome offensive players. Luka and Jokic are more than enough.
