A lot of factors, so if you are an average driver, not off-road or construction, etc.. How often?

I had gone years without a flat or leak. Driving habits are no different. Seems like it was one every few weeks, but over the last 6 months had 3 tires with nails, glass shards. Purchased 4 new tires and now have 2 with nails/slow leaks.

Wife has had 3 tires go down with nails/glass in the same time period.

I’ve pressured washed the driveway and blow it off regularly.

I’m convinced it’s the dead beat white trash neighbors whom I’ve had words with many times. Wife says I’m schizo and says we just run over the shite on the roads.

8 tires in 6 months. Gotta be the neighbors right?

I usually go years without them, or I have 2-3 in 6 months.

A couple years ago I had a 6 inch wrench go through my tire (It was almost entirely inside my tire), and a couple months later got a screwdriver thru another tire. It was like I was collecting a toolbox. I wasn't even driving through construction areas. Think it was just some bizarre coincidence that a truck I was driving behind dropped those tools at the exact right time.

Two in the last 1.5 years. Last one before that was nearly 10 years ago

You're plugging these and not buying a new tire every time you get a nail, right?

Gotta be something up cause that’s not normal unless you’re in construction/junk yards a lot.

Two in the last two years, but not much prior to that. I think it's because there is a lot of construction in my area lately and not a lot of enforcement about trailer/hauling/tarping.

I haven't had one in a pickup in probably 15 years or longer.

My wife hits curbs all the time and runs over nails and screws. She doesn't even drive 50 miles a week, but gets at least 6 flats a year.

Discount Tire will fix flats for free. Had to go there four times in about two weeks due to some construction near our house.

Just had to go there the other day for a leaky valve stem, totally free. Even if you didn't buy the tires from them.

Had a spate of them across all the family cars. Some were run flats…gotta replace them every time. Others were in the sidewalk. It was rough on the wallet.

Yeah plugging them. I know it happens but a pain in the arse when you come to expect it often

I definitely had more in Louisiana. Combination of bad roads, people littering more, bad suspension, trashy people.

I do this often and I have picked up so many nails and screws I can’t count. I remember going behind garbage trucks that left around 20-30 large nails in a small area on the street. Some of it is construction but some people don’t dispose of things properly.

I’ll bet I haven’t had two flats in the last decade. I drive a heck of a lot of miles some years between personal vehicle and work vehicle.

I see no rhyme or reason to when I get them.
