The 89th Edition of the Masters Tournament Thread - Thursday Round

We did it everyone, the ~360 days without the greatest tournament in golf are over. The 2025 Masters Tournament has begun.. Good luck to all the golfers, may they all say their prayers before getting to Amen Corner.

Masters Betting Odds and Tips: ESPN
List of Past Masters Tournament Champions
There are many story lines to pay attention to over the next few days.
-Scottie Scheffler has won two of the previous three Masters Tournaments. Can he join Jack Nicklaus as the only player to win three green jackets in four years?
-Rory McIlroy has seemingly revived his career after recent wins at The Players and at Pebble Beach. A win in Augusta this weekend would give Rory his 5th major title and complete the career grand slam. Can he finally overcome his historic 2011 Sunday collapse?
-John Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau have famously headlined the LIV Golf tour for the past two years and should be near the top of anyone's list of favorites to win the Masters this weekend. Can either of these men put together four rounds of great golf and bring more validation to LIV?

Not a huge limb I'm going out on, but I feel like it's Rory's to lose.

These player interviews during the Par 3 are terrible. Audio is crap and it takes away from the action following the player around. Hate it.

no better feeling the redownloading the masters app.
i would love to know how much they spend running that app every year or how much their social media team gets paid.

It’s incredible to me how good it is yet ESPN can’t create even an average functioning app

I’m putting it on the first page, Rory isn’t winning this year, next year, or any year after that

Early Thursday, late Friday may be the worst draw.
Friday wind gusts up to 25mph afternoon.

Absolutely hate that they’ve given Marty Smith a role with the coverage. Just so bad.
The Par 3 Contest is my annual gripe. The Par 3 contest gets worse each year. Not saying it needs to be straight up serious competition, but it’s become a circus. It’s become a parade of kids and wives looking for insta content.
