Stock market crashed 22% in 2 days. I wish the housing market crashed instead.

I've been desperately rooting for the housing market crash since 2021. If that happens, Trump is my savior.

So, you wish for the crash of the biggest source of wealth for most people?

Not gonna happen. You better buy now before it goes up another 20% when rates drop

According to a recent report from Case-Schiller National Home Price Index, home prices in America have spiked by 47% since 2020.
I just want it to go back to normal level, that's all.

The “normal level” is long gone. Just like regular inflation…..there is no truly “going back” fully to the way things were. They might sway back a bit but this is just how housing is now unless we have another 2008 crash.
All the more reason to not let dems have any sort of position of power on the national level.

Gee what caused that problem? If only there was a answer

This might be very sound advice. But now; eat the shite sandwich on interest rates; then refinance when rates drop and housing prices shoot through the roof.

That would wreck millions and millions of middle class Americans.

This would be way worse than stocks going down.

Keep an eye on it...the ball is starting to roll BUT you never know if they will lower rates

Housing will only "crash" if unemployment starts to seriously rise and even then it will be more of a correction than any kind of crash. Unfortunately we will likely never see housing as affordable as it was pre-covid ever again.

Since 1980 we have a housing crash every 13.5 years. So we are due…

One problem is that the money supply today id double what it was then. The Uniparty turned the economy into a grotesque imitation of what it used to be

What do you think is going to make people madder:
22% drop in the stock market that most normal people only interface with mediated through retirement plans
- OR -
22% drop in the only appreciating asset most Americans own
It would be inarguably worse for middle class wealth for the housing market to crash out like you described.

Pretty much this. If values started going down a bit, most middle class people just pay their note and stay underwater for 5-10 years, usually people don’t look at their house as an investment, in the first order, that’s just a by-product of ‘home’. But if unemployment hits, then foreclosure follow and it could spiral.

I lost about 1/3 of my net worth because of the housing market crash in 2008. It took me 9 more years just to sell my house and take a minor loss. Do not want again.

I got out 8 months ago. Not wishing for anyone else's decline, but the sooner it does sooner I'll buy back in.
