I know he has tremendous speed but he is little to no threat at the plate. Help me understand why we shouldn’t look elsewhere?

Coming into this game he was hitting .320 with a .452 OBP.

.316 BA and .458 OBP in SEC play.

He’s fast and plays good defense.

Think he gets overmatched in big at bats.

He was tied with Milam for 4th in runs scored coming into the game (behind Curiel, Jones, and Dickinson). He’s getting on base a lot and scoring ahead of the top of the order. What more do you want?

Come with some stats. Otherwise you’re just blowing smoke out of your arse.

This feels like an overreaction

Move Curiel to CF
Pearson to LF
Frey & Brown to RF and who ever is not playing in the field should DH
Let him and Larson get some run in mid week

Larson’s issues need to be corrected in the cage instead of costing the team outs in games.

There's a reason he was available. Could you imagine a starting LSU outfielder leaving and going to another school?

Because he gets on base and can get from first to third in the blink of an eye.

he got benched and didn't play for half the SEC series last year or regional. Kid couldn't handle it here. Glad to see he's doing well where there are 250 people in the stands every night.

I think he is very selective at plate which is good for someone whose job is to get on base. He has a slap swing and that front foot steps away from the pitcher, towards third. It’s funky. I get that he just wants to put it in play use that forward foot to push off and beat out the throw. But, when he gets behind in the count…it’s not pretty. I think that is some of what we saw tonight and against Texas. He is a good player and is hitting for average…but that swing looks terrible when he fans.
