What is going on here?

Judge blocks enforcement of Texas A&M system's drag show ban, allowing 'Draggieland' event on campus this week!

A good judge. I first appeared before her in about 1992. She was extraordinarily even-handed in her rulings.

The linked article is very short on details. Reading between the lines, I suspect that there was a contract in place for use of the venue, and the System tried to back out of that contract based upon the directives issued by Trump and Abbott.

maybe we will get some more detailed reporting in the near future.

When I was in school you couldn't say that word.

Now they are running the show.

Well… students on college campuses are adults. They can choose to go or not. As long as it is not billed as a “family-friendly event” where kids are present or out in the open, I don’t see a problem with it. Don’t like it, but they have a right to self-expression.

Board of Regents should set out very clear guidelines and expectations for behavior and dress. That’s the better way to go to shut down events like this. Drag queens and queer activists can’t exercise self-control at events as a general rule.

Impeach her.

And just like that he went from AggieHank, legendary PT hack lawyer to DraggieHank, notorious cross dressing lawyer.

Leaving the legal aspect out of it, what is your opinion on your alma mater condoning, supporting and hosting this event? Inquiring minds are inquiring.

I’m assuming this Draggieland has the complete support of the campus fraternities.

Hank apparently can’t defend the ruling, so he defends the judge instead. It’s a running joke at this point.

I have to admit that SFP is much better at this game than Hank. In fact, Hank doesn’t deserve to be paid for his posts.

quote:

CNN — The Biden administration is canceling another slate of border wall contracts – this time, in the Laredo and Rio Grande Valley sectors, the Department of Homeland Security announced Friday.

In one of his first actions in office, President Joe Biden had ordered a pause on wall construction and called for a review of projects and funds. Friday’s announcement is the latest in the ongoing effort to cancel contracts geared toward building wall along the US-Mexico border.

Double whammy here. Review funds? Like Doge?
