50 years old… has always been AstroTurf or FieldTurf

How can such a “historic” program have fake grass?

It’s not a bad ballpark overall. Not to mention way more amenities and things to do within a 2 mile radius than there is to do outside of Alex Box.

That was from 1975. Before that, Clark Field was grass, I am pretty sure. In 75 Astruturf was still thought of favorably and the backlash, especially in baseball, came a few years later.

The topic is on field turf and a stadium. Why are you trying to bring Austin vs Baton Rouge into the discussion?????

It's a bad field. Everything just plays slow and dies. If you're making sec money you should have a grass field.

It's weird looking and the infielders not being on dirt throws me off. I'm not a fan.

That is the ugliest baseball field I have ever seen.

it’s not. If they put in a real grass and dirt field I’d beat out the Box easily

I’ll never get behind a baseball field with no dirt though

Aggressive homeless people too. I think they tell them to make it a bit weirder.

I was reading an interview with Del Conte about their plans for the stadium. Texas is going to be switching to grass. They are, however, really limited to how much they can expand the stadium due to not owning the roads around Disch. He was hinting they could only expand down the third base line

Turf around the bases is the most dangerous and embarrassing part.

I cringe every time one of our guys slides or dives back into a base.

Pathetic.

IMO, there is nothing about UT's stadium that is superior to The Box.

Met him about a week before he died, with Skip. When he and Skip left, the people I was with (who would know) said Augie was as healthy as could be and Skip was smoking a cigar a day and was essentially an alcoholic.

Both of those things tracked from what I could tell. Skip still kicking 8 years later.

How you haven’t been banned yet is beyond me. You add no value to the website whatsoever.

People talk shite about me, but at least my threads usually receive a lot of replies and therefore create website traffic. I’ve received more upvotes than downvotes in my time here.

You, on the other hand, don’t create any original content. You just randomly pop into threads and say “frick you” or “you’re a dumbass”, or something else stupid.. You do nothing but annoy people. You’re completely useless.

Shocking opinion from a Cal "LGBTQGDJOIGFDJA++++++". If you'd ever been there you'd know that Disch Falk is surrounded by a CEMETERY, I-35 and the CARITAS HOMELESS SHELTER.

Idiot
