Good news for western society. Germany passes massive military spending bill.

The first definitive step in Europe being able to defend itself. Europe’s largest economy is going to actually do what Obama, Trump, Biden and now Trump again have been asking them to do for over a decade. Asking them politely to spend more money didn’t work but it looks like scaring them might have worked.

I am sad that they are doing this for a needless war, though.
They will send young German men into a meatginder while letting military aged men from the Middle East to live next door to their wives and children.

Does Germany have enough baws left to fight? I would imagine their military has the same rot in it that we are currently purging here in the U.S.

I do not think you want Europe succumbing to an ideology that spreads.
There are so many good people that are not heard or listened to that need to reclaim their continent. It is finally happening here.
Keep Europe European. As cucky as that sounds, I do not feel like sending g my sons to go clean up Europe, but letting euros fight at home better than letting the ideology spread like cancer.

I honestly don't care what they do at this point. We've done more than our part for them. We need to get out of NATO and cut off the gravy train. Time to take off their training wheels.

Germany industry is in the toilet and if they end up in war with Russia the best they can hope for is to get conventionally crushed, because if they start pushing into russia the will go up in a mushroom cloud.

At this point, and I can't believe I'm saying this, I'd trust Russia having the best interest in mind for Germans than the German government.
Doesn't matter because this is all fabricated fear mongering and propaganda anyway. Russia isn't invading Poland, much less Germany. Hell they won't even cross the river out of the Donbas at this point. They've already won this.

if the point is to reduce reliance on the U.S., does that mean they arent going to use our defense companies? Didn't the the UK just name a Florida Co. to build one of its service rifle? Is there aerospace industry up to Gen 5 yet?This is a win-win for us...
