He's always been very vocal about differentiating between the Iranian people and their corrupt government - most recently in his interview with Maria Bartiromo.

I understand attacking the Houthis because of the Red Sea shipping issue. But going to War with Iran would be inflationary and make it harder for him to accomplish his domestic Economic goals and just add to the chaos narrative that the Democrats are trying to manufacturer now

It's hilarious to me that if anyone else—ANYONE else—had done this, the board would be boiling calling them a Deep State Globalist and claiming that they were starting a war for profit.
But, since it is perfectly appropriate to tell Iran to sit down and shut up, and it's right in line with what I knew Trump would do as CIC, I'm happy, because since Trump is the one doing it I will only have to see a minimum of nonsense about it.
