I heard the attack on DEI framed as resegregating America the other day.
Any time a non-white male non-conservative gets attention or a job, pearls are clutched and hysteric "DEI" accusations ensue. No one (on this board at least) questions the qualifications of any white men. Is the obsession with eradicating diversity, equity and inclusion really just an obsession with resegregating America?

I’m an IT guy and I see the qualifications of white male job candidates questioned all the time.

No one questions white person getting the position because unlike the stupid liberal Dogma that states the opposite the truth is in 99.9% of the situations to beat the person of color the white person has to be 30% better.
As for resegregation honestly that's such a painfully illogical leap that it's impossible to even connect the dots of your thought from one point to the other so you're going to have to do better

That wouldn't happen if DEI or affirmative action didn't exist.
In a merit based system the automatic assumption would be that they got the job because they are qualified.

Your assumption is that because a company says it values diversity, equity and inclusion, only white male employees of that company have merit.
