The overwhelming majority of Americans supporting reforms to the food industry and public health, a survey last December revealed.

According to the YouGov poll  almost eight in 10 American adults said they support requiring nutrition education in federally funded medical schools, while 74 percent support banning certain additives, including dyes, from the nation’s food supply.

I have been trying to learn more about food additives. Getting rid of the dyes seems like a step in the right direction.

It does. There is not anything that man can create to use in foods that nature can not do better.

This is great.
Get back to the ingredients in food from the 80’s.

They need to go after this guy first. I'm pretty sure this is when I started gaining weight and got so bad out of shape.

An easy start would be to see what Western Europe currently allows and just copy and paste - wouldn't be perfect but would be a great start. The BS thing about dyes and such is that all of these companies are already making their products without them for Europe/Canada but they inject all that crap in our food to make it addicting.

Comparing ingredients in any US product and other countries is absolutely mind boggling.

Dyes do nothing but attract the eye and poison us. It is so stupid and evil.

Make something that is bad for you look better.

They do nothing else.

It’s not only dyes. Artificial flavoring added sugar and seed oils

Why? They don't have to list out everything in their products, we do.

I'm all for getting this stuff out of products, I just hate the silly fear mongering graphics like this that are completely disingenuous (not calling you out, calling out the graphic).

That was just a crunch enhancer, a non-nutritive food varnish.

Go after added sugar no matter what form it takes. Replacing corn syrup with table sugar is t buying you anything.

My youngest son likes to get some of the Japanese or Asian candy and chips from Five Below. So I decided to try a few of the Universal Yum boxes where each month they send us a different country full of snacks. This first box was Italy. You can actually taste flavors that aren't fake and over sugared. Even their chocolate wasn't as artificial tasting.
