Damn. I was hoping we’d bring him back.

gonna be another defensive player we let walk that'll be great somewhere else

Good corner that would be elite if he could stop committing penalties.
Honestly probably going to miss him back there.

Dodged a bullet.
Will likely never be the same at THAT position after THAT injury.
Telling that it was a dog shite franchise who got him for a modest number.

Damn the one franchise worse than the Saints. Embarrassing.

The saints have done it again wow

If he can return from injury, Giants get a bargain at 3/$30M, even if he’s penalty prone.
That’s a big if though. Broken femur isn’t easy to return from.

This is why Loomis not doing the right thing hurts the Saints year after year. Good young players have been shown the door due to terrible contracts for aging veterans.
Kicking the can down the road doesnt work.

Yup, and we’ll be reminded repeatedly by the face painters how our cap strategy is ingenious and our competitors just don’t have a Loomis to figure it out.

That “dog shite” franchise has 3 more Super Bowl victories than us.
Adebo will also get to enjoy living in New York instead of New Orleans.

Will this get us a comp pick next year?

Should net us a comp pick, too early to tell exactly where the pick would land. Chase Young, Juwan Johnson are ones to watch too

He wanted to be in a big market like New York. Even if the Saints matched or even exceeded the Giants’ offer by a little I think Adebo still would have left. We would have had to pay a good bit more than what the Giants did if we were going to keep him. It’s a loss as Adebo has shown flashes of being a really good player but we have to shop not even in the bargain bin this year. We are shopping in the dumpster behind the bargain bin.

Adebo was a pass interference machine, that made pop plays every once in a while. Considering his injury, he will likely never be the same player athletically. I hated seeing him challenged on deep balls, 75% of the time, he was grabbing the opponent’s jersey.

I’m not arguing that we’re a better franchise than the NYG.
I’m saying that for a relatively modest number it was the giants who got him. A recently poorly run, unsuccessful team since the Eli years.
I think it’s telling that for THAT price a better team with more success didn’t scoop him up.
I think the injury gave a lot of good teams pause on signing him even for a reasonable contract.

I would be OK with letting all the free agents who can net comp picks walk. Team is going to suck either way, might as well try to build a draft war chest.

That and overratted draft picks who Loomis won't part with.
