Is it possible to take in too much protein? I am counting macros and lifting. Want to make sure I am not over doing it on the protein side. I have dropped fat and gained muscle, but the mid section needs a little trimming down. Also gotta get rid of the love handles. Suggestions on that?

Start doing 30-45 min incline walks on the treadmill every other day. The fat should slowly go away.

It’s really hard to “overdo” protein without going way over your caloric intake for the day. Just base all your meals/snacks around protein, eat a gram per pound of desired body weight, and stay in a deficit. Body Fat will decrease.

You aren’t going to be able to spot reduce without liposuction

You aren’t going to eat too much protein so keep prioritizing it

Work your way up to 15% incline on 3.0 speed for 30 to 35 minutes on treadmill.

None of this matters if your diet isn’t good. You will not be able to out train a bad diet.

No. You’ll poop out what your body can’t use.

And abs are grown in the kitchen.

Very hard to eat too much protein imo. I strive for 180-200g and it’s typically a challenge.

Shoot for your body weight in grams of protein

1 cup Egg whites and protein shake for breakfast plus yogurt shake, either chicken or turkey on tortilla or protein bagel for lunch, and chicken or beef with rice for dinner. Throw in protein chips for snack or a protein bar late afternoon. I am getting about 180-200 g protein daily. Weigh 175

Sure, as in you take in more calories from protein than you are expending in the day and it leads to fat gain. Will be very hard to do that just consuming protein though.

No suggestions needed. Just keep doing what youve been doing. They will eventually go away

5 eggs + sourdough for breakfast
Lunch is typically a post workout protein shake + some other protein I have in my fridge such as sliced turkey, a bun-less burger, or chicken sausage
Dinner is typically a meal with 40-50g per serving
Snacks throughout the day are various grass fed meat sticks of different varieties or cheese
If I’m really slacking in protein, I do an after dinner ninja creami protein ice cream or a bowl of Greek with half scoop of protein powder + blueberries

I’ve always heard high protein diet can lead to high levels of uric acid which is harder on the kidneys so I just drink more water than normal.

For me , intermittent fasting plus high protein / low carb drops weight quickly.

can you have too much...no.

there are studies of people doing 3x bw in grams and zero kidney issues

protein requires about 20-25% of the calories in it just to be processed, its almost impossible to store as fat and is muscle sparing

as far as the rest of your post...get in a caloric deficit and stay there

OP, monitor carefully, and try to eat 160-180g of protein in a day. You'll be so tired of eating it's unbelievable. It's not the protein.

Only if it puts you in a calorie surplus.
