New polls showing Trump's battle w/ Canada is rallying support for Trudeau's Liberal party

OTTAWA, Canada — As new tariffs came into effect on Tuesday, analysts say that if Canada's Liberal Party holds onto power, the party can thank President Donald Trump in part for such a reversal of political fortune.
Since Trump's inauguration, Canada's official opposition Conservative Party – once leading the governing Liberals by a wide margin – has seen their popularity in public-opinion polls gradually decline.

An Ipsos poll released last week found that, for the first time since the Liberals won the last federal election in 2021, they’re ahead of the Conservatives by two points, with 38% popularity compared to the Conservatives at 36%. Six weeks earlier, the Conservatives were leading the Liberals by 26 points. A general election is expected to be called as early as this spring by Trudeau's successor, who will be announced on Sunday.

That's a pretty massive shift in six weeks. And almost certainly explains why Trudeau came out today acting like a strong man standing in the way of Trump. They're rallying around who's going to be the most vocal to stand up to Trump in the name of Canada.
So I guess you've got to weigh the risk vs reward here with the tariffs and 51st state talk vs political outcomes in Canada. Which is weighted heavier? A Pierre Poilievre lead Canada is probably friendlier toward us and more open to worker toward better trade outcomes but you may undercut that in the near term if we sit too hard on the tariffs angle now. So idk which path you take at the fork in the road here that's most favorable to us long term.

Canada is a cucked country. Doesn't matter who is in there. They are going to have no choice but to bow down and kiss the Orange man's ring.

Conservatives are going to be so fricking mad that they were never able to beat that younger Trudeau despite him being so beatable on paper. And to top it off, Trump is basically fricking their right wing over by causing their public to negatively associate their own conservative movement with the same that wants to annex them.

Who cares? Let those idiots continue to destroy their country by voting for the bullshite that is already killing them. Let the snake eat itself.

Pierre would be good for Canada, not us.
He’s anti woke but he’s not thinking of helping American interests.

Nationalism and rallying around the flag is strong in Canada right now. Trump brought the country together.

Sounds like a Canada problem, not ours
Trudeau has ran that country into the ground, but if the citizens want more, so be it.

I traveled to Canada every year from 1977 until 2020 when they mandated Covid vax before crossing. They can, and will, rot without us as far as I am concerned.

The US should not be held hostage by Canada's insane leftism and desire for national suicide. Stop trying to blackmail the US so you can keep doing cocktail progressive things.

How about standing up against ridiculous immigration? Oh, NV....Canucks already forgot about that. People vote for the dumbest reasons some (especially women)...Who gives a white who is most vocal against Trump if that person is trying to destroy your Country from within.

Are we supposed to believe polls now? More importantly why should we care?
