Getting burnt out on my rotation of NCAA, Fortnite, and FIFA. Looking for something new. I love open world concepts (have played a lot of the AC games) or adventure games.

Haven’t played COD probably since Covid/warzone was at its peak. Is that still going on?

Any and all suggestions welcome!

rumor has it that if Verdansk doesn't pump the numbers up, Warzone will be on life support moving forward.

OG Warzone was fun as hell. i have no idea what it's like today, but i have no reason to want to play it now.

Just kill off Warzone and start from scratch. Nothing will ever top those Verdansk days.

I miss Blackout

If you want a bit of a change of pace, either Horizon Zero Dawn or God of War (and then both have sequels).

God of War is great.

If you haven't played ghost of tsushima it's really good too

I think this would be perfect for OP.

Yes sorry I left that off. Finished GoT a few months ago. Great game! Loved the story and the world was great too

That’s what I was worried about with warzone. Covid/verdansk was kinda the perfect storm. Hard to recapture the magic. But if verdansk came back it would be hard not to get it

I’ll check out God of War for sure. I have a few friends who have played those

Are there any strategy type games for PS5 in the same way as the total war games? I haven’t really found anything

You might like mount & blade: bannerlord. Its more of a sandbox campaign adventure game but it is free on ps plus now I think.

I have owned it on pc since release.

You can control an army like total war but you also fight in it

Didn’t see it mentioned, but I really enjoyed playing through Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5. I preferred playing on PC, but it has been well optimized since Phantom Liberty released.

Not open world, but my kids and I have been loving Astro Bot. I find myself going back through levels to find the things they miss and have a blast doing it.

Not super similar, but maybe check out They are Billions, it's a ps4 game but it runs fine. I find most strategy ports to console are awful, this one works really well.

If you enjoy the open world Ubisoft model, and you also enjoys shooters like COD, then the Far Cry series might be for you if you haven't already played them. FC 3 through 6 along with the spinoffs are all available on PS5, many of them being free through PS+

CyberPunk 2077 and the expansion Phantom Liberty are fantastic. By far my favorite open world this gen.
