Marco Rubio gave a great interview on Ukraine and Zelensky

Ukraine has been undermining our efforts for 10 days leading up to the meeting. That's why Rubio sat back on the sofa pissed. Zelensky telling them one thing on the phone the tells the press something different. Rubio is tired of the games.
Trump knows the game they are playing and knew Z was digging a hole and that's why Trump said he let the shouting match happen for so long
Vance also knew and watched Zelenskys behavior for 40 minutes and called him on it all.

Polished Rubio is a great Rubio. His engagements have been off the charts since he took office.

Thanks for posting this. Rubio was great. It was refreshing to hear a Secretary of State say that his job was to avoid or end wars.
Also his point about "this war is a meat grinder and Russia has more meat to grind" is so basic to this discussion. Regardless of the passage og time, Ukraine is never going to be in a better strategic position.
Most of Collins's questions began with a challenge, but kudos to CNN and Rubio for the extended interview. Shocking to say, I was actually informed by listening to CNN.

She was a horribly biased interviewer and Rubio did a good job. I've never had respect for Rubio before, but he earned my respect today.

I will never understand why a single Republican ever goes on CNN and if nobody gave them the time of day they would basically fall out of existence

This Rubio interview is exactly why you try. You do it to at least attempt to talk some common sense into the other side.
I wish more people would get out of their echo-chambers. Honestly I watch more CNN than anything else even though I lean conservative and mostly disagree with what the CNN/Dems say because I prefer to hear what the other side is saying than to listen to people that I mostly agree with. I get bored listening to only people that I agree with, not to mention I’m not too proud/stubborn to realize that occasionally the other side has decent people with decent viewpoints… occasionally.

Should have had the meeting behind closed doors. Trump does most everything in front of cameras, just like The Apprentice. Sometimes do your statecraft stuff behind closed doors.

Contrast him with Rex Tillerson. There is no comparison. The people Trump has put into key cabinet positions this time are huge upgrades.

It probably should have been in private. That said, I can understand why Trump might want everything out in the open the way people leak to the media.
