They already announced we’re playing in one next year.

Yeah it’s happening. Better make vacation plans for Round Rock if you want to watch the games.

Spoiled brat. That’s what you are. Oh no! Out of 56 regular season games, there are 4 or 5 that aren’t televised by ESPN and a lot of fans whine and cry that either they can’t watch them or, Heaven forbid they have to pay for them.

These tournaments are good for the team. That’s why they play in them. LSU fans that live in north Texas get the opportunity to see them live. It’s good exposure for recruiting in Texas.

But…. You had to pay for it or didn’t get to see it. Oh no!!!

Jay could really not care less about the fan experience. Its all about building a championship program. Whatever it takes to win. Which I'm OK with but we'll have to learn to live with being whored out to the D1/FloSports of the world and never playing another "opening night" game, etc.

If that means a natty every year or two, we'll find a way to deal with it i guess

the fan experience

Has been awful this year. The weather has sucked and I know he can't help that. But every week games are getting rescheduled or we're playing mid-afternoon on a weekday. Actual attendance has to be the worst it's been in years with the exception of 2020.

There is a much larger LSU fanbase in Texas than you realize. I love getting to see them play without having to travel to Baton Rouge.
I was at the Round Rock tournament 2 years ago and look forward to next year.
It's probably good for recruiting too.

They should only play in Houston. That’s the only event worth a damn.

IMO, we should only play at Globe Life (ARLINGTON) or in Houston.

Attendance the first few weeks of the season is never that great mainly because the weather generally is crappy.

I'll take a NC every 5 or 6 years, if we are competitive in most of the other years.

No count it's about being price gouged when LSU is in a tournament.
Id spend $5 bucks a game to stream not $13.00 and the throw in subpar ability to stream and poor production.
I got to listen to a kid crying off and on because there was a crying kid by the press box and the microphone would pick it up.
D1 needs to stick to base ball content and travel ball streaming.
LSU will have 40k in streams at any given moment and they cannot provide to service for that then they either need to improve the servers or cap the amount of paid subscriptions to avoid a shite show like today and 2 seasons ago.

Oh no, it's even worse.

The mickey mouse production company D1 hired, Peak Events, played crowd noise on a loop that featured a baby crying.

That same baby was wailing away throughout the night game as well.

There's this new thing called radio, and you can even get it on the internet. A couple of guys describe what's going on...and it's even free!

If it's good for the team and the LSU fans in Texas get to see their Tigers in person, I'm fine with a few days of just listening to the games. If others hate that idea, then pay for the streaming and get what you get. Most people were forewarned that it would be a bad product.
