How in the frick do they ever allow this light to malfunction, and on a Friday afternoon no less.
No police directing traffic either.

It’s all over town. Bluebonnet, siegen, etc. the traffic lights are malfunctioning in a widespread area.

Perkins / One Perkins light is also out…. took 30 minutes to drive 3 miles

That was normal in BR even in the 90s. Tigerland to the apartment complex off of Highland/Duplantier was nearly a half hour drive at the wrong time.

It’s the whole city. Bluebonnet/Siegen too. Naturally on a Friday afternoon when traffic is already awful. Gotta love it!

"Directing traffic"?
On multiple occasions I've watched as a police car was parked right by an intersection with the traffic light out waiting for a driver to frick up the now four way stop so they could issue a ticket. They would rather wait for an accident so they could cite the the driver at fault rather than direct traffic in an effort to avoid an accident in the first place.
Serve the people? fricking serve them a summons.
