Interesting that Staley is building his staff from predominantly college coaches. Perhaps the shift in dual threat QBs, RPOs and spread offenses is the reason. Bring in guys that have been dealing with that for years.

Of all the colleges to poach from, you're going to take the guy at your states flagship University.

We trying to alienate the fanbase already?

More and more college coaches are looking to the NFL since the NIL stuff took center stage

Which is weird because Bo Davis is a recruiter first , unlike a Chip Kelly type.

I guess he's Orgeron 2.0

The Saints are an NFL franchise focused on hiring the best coaches possible. They aren't concerned with upsetting anyone at the states flagship university

No reasonable person is going to stop following the Saints because they hired a DL coach from LSU

LSU and Saints fan bases are never going to be united. They mostly live to hate each other.

Terry Joseph is a recruiter first too. Recruiting doesn’t mean much anymore I reckon

I think it's more a realization of his absolute inability to develop players and college coaches are more prepared for player development.

Staley is reportedly really good Monday-Saturday so I don't think offensive schemes affect him much. Also, this isn't 2017 anymore. None of that stuff is in any way new.
