Wow, incredibly well done show. The acting is absolutely top notch and the scenery is even better.
I’d add a note/kind of critique about a certain actor(ess) - but can’t really without spoiling it.
Watch it!

I really enjoyed it

I loved it. It made me go down the rabbit hole. The portrayal of Brigham Young was brutal and the conflict between the Shoshone and them and the US Army was apparently real. Who knew?

I knocked it out this past weekend. Really enjoyed it. It was as much of a history lesson as it was a film. I like watching things that make me do a little research during/after watching.
It definitely had Revenant vibes, I like the style in which it was shot.
I've spent a lot of time in the Tetons and it was cool to learn about John Bridger. The forest out there is named after him.

Yeah great show! I think the guy who did the Revenant was involved with this as well so that makes sense they have the same aesthetic

Just put a spoiler tag in your post. You also could've posted this in the long thread about it.

Watched I few days and absolutely loved it. Hoping for more iterations of something similar

I thought it was fantastic. Like others have said, I had to go do some research on the LDS Church history.
This was what I was expecting/hoping Horizon to be.

Rogan just did a podcast with Peter Berg, really insightful on the whole process of filming this show. A must listen for fans of the show and Joseph Smith/BY

I don’t know how to spoiler tag ??
I’ll put it this way, there is a certain actor who I correctly assume will die in everything he’s in, let the man live for once.

Why would one be a fan of Joseph Smith and especially Brigham Young? Terrible people, true pieces of shite.

Man, everyone should go down the Mormon rabbit hole
Those are some weird people, especially when you realize what their religion was based on. It’s not even 200 years old and a 14 year-old that was tripping balls saw a bunch of visions and that’s what the whole religion is based on.
I have a 14-year-old that doesn’t even flush the toilet
And you can’t have drugs, alcohol or caffeine and have to wear special underwear? Nah I’m good
