Nola is mostly a Honduran workforce In landscaping and construction. I have met and worked alongside some very talented tradesmen from Honduras, making a good difference in Nola. Sucks that there are some bad eggs and associated consequences that befall the good ones.

I hate the illegal invasion of our borders with every fiber of my being. But I agree with what you’re saying here. Hard to reconcile I know.

I don't think anybody has a problem with people here legally. But the ones who aren't should be processed regardless of how well they can lay roofing or mortar bricks.

It’s either enforce the laws or let everyone in because a few are cool and hard working

Hopefully the business owners were arrested as well.
I've said for a long time if you hire illegals you should lose your business and face jail time. That's how you stop illegal immigration.

Why don't the "good ones" try to get citizenship or a work visa?

These folks who are actively working and contributing to our society in a net positive way should be given a fast track for approved work visas.

Good luck with that. My wife has been working on getting her citizenship for 5 years. We've spent somewhere around $10k and she still doesn't have her blue passport.

The amount of Latin Americans coming over far exceeds the number of visas available to Latin Americans.

I just hired my Honduran painter for a job. I swear, if they touch a hair on his head, I'll murder everybody.
