Interesting that they specifically wanted a coach with college experience

Texas has a senior CB and a senior safety in that 2nd round type value range.

I wonder if this is a hat tip to a big time youth movement in the back half of the D

The best part of this for me is the draft intell that he will bring. He obviously will have inside info about all Texas players but he also watched film/recruited/game planned for SEC players.

WTF the Frick are the Saints hiring a College Coach who has no prior NFL coaching experience and more importantly, why the Frick are Moore/Staley allowing this to happen?

It's like Brain Kelly hiring a high school coach to coach Cornerbacks at LSU.

It will not work!

I'm thinking this is a nod to going young overall.

I wonder what other college coaches they were looking at for dc.

Meh, he’s always been known more of a recruiter. Good for lsu though. Texas has been hitting them for players and Joseph is a big reason.

Something to think about:

Texas played almost exclusively with 5 DBs on the field (and much of the time with 4 LBs and only 2 DL), and ran a TON of Cover 3 and 4.

Ummmm. Makuba and Barron are probably reasons why. The guy can coach the secondary. Your comment is just pretty dumb.

You consistently have some of the dumbest takes on this board. You’re like the Nicolastiger of saints talk

Explain to me, in detail, why this 1000% would not work
